Founded in 2003 by Lefteri (Lefty) Tsiropoulos, Skippers Seafood restaurant was born from a clear vision: to provide exceptional quality homemade seafood paired with outstanding service and an unforgettable dining experience.
As a family-owned, pet-friendly fast-casual restaurant on the shoreline of Connecticut, Skippers Seafood operates year-round and has been recognized by the State of Connecticut for our commitment to excellent customer service. For nearly two decades, we have earned the loyalty of both Connecticut locals and international tourists, supported by a dedicated team of employees—many of whom have been with us for years, while others return seasonally to uphold our standards of world-class service.

Our menu is particularly renowned for our fresh New England and Maine style lobster rolls, homemade onion rings, and fish locally sourced from the North Atlantic, all fried in cholesterol-free oil. Situated on the scenic Niantic Bay, our first location offers a picturesque backdrop, where you can occasionally spot local and Amtrak trains passing by. Guests can also enjoy the nearby Niantic Bay boardwalk for a leisurely stroll after their meal.
For larger gatherings, our Old Saybrook location provides the same homemade fare, featuring picnic tables that offer both sun and shade for birthday parties, family outings, or simply a casual seafood experience.
